Furthermore, nothing contained herein should be considered as a recommendation by The Brown Bottle as to the appropriateness or fitness for any use. Individuals receiving this information must exercise their independent judgment in determining its appropriateness for a particular purpose. As the ordinary or otherwise use(s) of these products are outside the control of The Brown Bottle, no warranty, expressed or implied, is made as to the effect(s) of such use(s), (including damage or injury), or the results obtained. This is because the use(s) and application of these products is beyond our control. We strongly recommend to make appropriate laboratory safety or challenge testing prior to any commercial product runs. The Brown Bottle cannot accept any liability in this regard. The liability of The Brown Bottle is limited to the value of the goods and does not include any consequential loss. In no event will The Brown Bottle be liable for any incidental, consequential, or indirect damages (including, but not limited to), damages for loss of profits, business interruption arising out of the use of or inability to use our products and/or information, or as a result of a delay in providing our products and/or information.

The stability and nature of our products may alter dependant up on external influences beyond our control, such as storage conditions or when used with other ingredients or not as detailed in our formulations.
The information on our website and in our various publications is as comprehensive and current as we can make it and is provided in good faith but it is intended as a guide to the appropriate handling of the raw materials. While we are doing our utmost to provide our customers with all current and accurate information, there may be errors from time to time. We cannot be responsible for any errors /omissions we have made; or on the reliance/misuse of this information.
The user of the product is solely responsible for compliance with all laws and regulations applying to the use or sale of products made from raw materials and information purchased/ obtained from The Brown Bottle.
It is the responsibility of our customers to request and ensure that they have up to date material data safety sheets for the products that they buy from us and to ensure that they are aware of safety hazard information.

Products disclaimer

As the availability of ingredients and raw materials is not always certain due to market conditions or otherwise, The Brown Bottle reserves the right to substitute alternate ingredients/raw materials in the manufacture of its Ready Made and Base products in order to maintain supply to its customers. Customers should always refer to the ingredients label on each product or request information if necessary.

Preventive measures

The information published on our website, whether in our Newsletters, Articles, Product Descriptions or otherwise is not intended as a substitute for personal medical advice.
Before making any decision regarding your personal health, please consult a general practice, medical herbalist, qualified aroma therapist, other qualified health practitioner or a recommended reference book before using Herbs, Essential Oils or Absolutes.
Pregnant women, the elderly, those with skin sensitivities or problems, or those with difficult medical conditions should be particularly careful when taking herbs internally, or when applying the Herbs, Essential Oils, Absolutes and other raw materials externally.
It’s a good idea to let your GP, Medical Herbalist, Qualified Aroma therapist or Health Practitioner know that you are considering the use of Herbs or Essential Oils as some may cross-react with conventional drugs you are, or may be considering, taking. Report any side effects to your personal Health Care Practitioner.

Shipping conditions

• We do not ship to P.O.Boxes unless we have a verified physical address.
• We do not ship to third party addresses unless that address is known and can be verified by us. Due to the nature of the products some items will not be shipped outside of Australia.
• We do not offer pickup facilities or customer organised couriers
• Customers are responsible for paying any freight charges incurred by refused shipment and unclaimed goods. We will make every effort to deliver on time. However, we shall not be held liable for delay or lost shipment.
• Customers may or may not need to sign for and accept the delivery. However, cost for re-delivery attempts will be passed to the customers when a signature is required and the delivery address is unattended at the time of delivery.
• If item/s received is not what was ordered please do not open the sealed package in which it was sent. Any attempt to use the incorrect item will be deemed to be acceptance by the customer of the item/s as a satisfactory substitute for the one that was ordered and no further claim can be raised thereafter.
• All orders will be shipped and processed according to the availability of the item ordered.

Returns and exchanges

• You or the recipient of an order may return an item that has been purchased from us because you have received the incorrect product. Before returning please notify us via email and wait for a return confirmation before sending.
• If you return goods via an Australia Post Office, please keep the appropriate proof of return. Otherwise, if the returned item goes missing in transit to us, we will deem you not to have returned the item.
• It is your responsibility to ensure the goods are adequately packaged to ensure that they are not damaged during return transit. We will not issue an exchange unless the product/s are in a saleable condition upon return.
• All returned products must be unused, unopened and in original condition, undamaged, returned within 7 days of receipt of return acceptance notice.
• In the event of a return by you or the recipient at no fault of us , we will exchange or issue a credit note for the value of the goods. You will incur the delivery costs of the return to us and re-delivery to you. We will not credit initial delivery and any other associated fees.
